Choosing The Rocket Piano Solution
The piano is one of the most popular instruments in the world. The best way to learn piano is having a private instructor teach you and guide you through the grand instrument. However, this is not always possible. For this reason there are many programs around that boast teaching piano skills. It’s hard to sift through the programs and decide which ones are better, however Rocket Piano offers a progressive guide to learning the piano, just like their Rocket Language programs like Rocket French and Italian, you’re sure to learn the piano in no time.
The Piano
The piano is a musical instrument primarily consisting of a keyboard. It is used tremendously in the musical genres of classical and jazz, as well as solo performances. It is used to accompany vocal performances and other instrumental performances. It is a very expensive instrument and is not easily moved, but it is still one of the most popular instruments.
How A Piano Makes Sound
The inner workings of a piano are a bit complicated. The sounds commences when a key is pressed on the keyboard of the piano, when this occurs a felt-covered hammer strikes steel strings. The hammer then rebounds. When this occurs the strings still vibrate and create the resonant frequency which allows for the sound to reverberate through and cause the infamous piano sound.
Drawbacks
Most people are too intimidated by a piano to try and learn how to play it. They simply think it will be way too hard to ever learn how to play the piano well. However, if you first learn a few simple basics you will have a much better chance of being successful in learning how to properly play the piano. You need to start by learning the musical scales on a piano. Then, you can move on to learning how to read sheet music.
Other Options
Since large pianos are often too expensive of large to have in your home, many people opt for purchasing a keyboard. Keyboards offer many similarities to their piano counterparts. However, they are not as rich in sound or feel. It is good practice, though, if you are not able to get to a piano for your lesson. Keyboard players can develop amazing skills that are easily transferable over to a full sized piano.
History Of Pianos
Piano’s have a long history, beginning in the medieval ages there were hammered dulcimers, from there came keyboard like mechanism such as the clavichord and the harpsichord. The invention of the modern piano is attributed to Bartolomeo Cristofori of Padua, Italy. He was originally employed by the Medici family and was the keeper of the Instruments. He was an expert harpsichord maker and was well acquainted with the body of knowledge on stringed instruments. They believe that he first invented the piano around the year 1700; there are still three pianos that have survived today that were made by Cristofori.
It is easy to see why the piano has been the world’s favorite instrument for hundreds of years. It is understood in any language or culture and inspires millions. Music is truly an international language. Anyone who is interested in learning the piano is in for a wonderful experience. If you or someone you know is interested in learning the piano, consider purchasing the Rocket Piano program to help you on your musical journey. This program is made by the same people who created the Rocket French review language program. They are great tools for teaching individuals new and exciting skills.

‘The Artist’ Wins Best Picture
Michel Hazanavicius’ Academy Awards front-runner The Artist won the coveted “Best Picture” Oscar at the 84th Academy Awards. If you’ve been paying attention this awards season, this won’t come as a surprise; the French silent film was a critical and commercial success, and swept multiple ceremonies in the months leading up to the Oscars.
The film was up against some tough competition, as legendry directors Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and Woody Allen all had movies in the running. While some might have liked to see one of these giants take home the gold statue, the mere uniqueness of The Artist is enough to separate it from the other nominees. Like Scorcese’s Hugo, Hazanavicius’ movie attempts to restore in jaded audiences their lost wonderment at the power and magic of cinema. Unlike Scorsese though, who uses modem technology to give life to the story, Hazanavicius turns to the past, limiting his use of sound and special effects to the few moments that their presence would have the most impact. Undeniably charming and surprisingly engrossing, The Artist is a work of art, and its triumph is well-deserved.

Free eBook: Six Circles – An Experience Design Framework

As technology has advanced, the importance of how humans interact with systems, machines, and each other, have also advanced into a fusion of disciplines, coalescing under the banner of “user experience.” And though “experience” is a vast and abstract notion that is highly contingent on the user, successful experiences in either service or product design are ultimately based upon solid design principles.
James Kelway started the eBook Six Circles – An Experience Design Framework as an enquiry into how different design principles can be applied to the field of digital product design. This led him to identify six core themes—the “Six Circles”:
- Persuasion
- Behavior
- Visual design
- Usability
- Interaction
- Content
Good products and services combine these themes into better experiences; they induce or entice users into engaging, and guide and assist them as they work through the experiences to reach their…read more
