Just one more option to add to the hand-warming-themed knitting class I will be teaching every other Tuesday, kumara arm warmers by Laura Zukaite. The rolls at the bottom and top make for an interesting variation on an old theme, though I had to rip out my first try as the rolls were not rolled evenly. Removable stitch markers placed every 4 stitches made all the difference in the world.
Now, to get down to some intensive holiday gift knitting!
I really need to start on the holiday knitting! Go us!

Those came out lovely. I just started this yesterday and have already had to start over. I am glad to hear that this is indeed possible to make. I was thinking stitch markers. Question for you however, when doing the first eight rows, did you knit into the cast on row when doing row 8?

I placed the markers on row one, so that is the row I ended up knitting into, not the cast on one. It looks fine that way. I just didn't want to fiddle around with markers and a cast on at the same time...
Good luck with your pair!
